About June Bug Club
Founded by an experienced teacher and mom in 2008.
June Bug Club is designed to meet the needs of local parents & caregivers who are looking for quality educational and creative care for their young children in a nurturing home environment. Our programming is a little more flexible and part-time for families who don’t need traditional daycare. June Bug Club allows moms & caregivers much-needed flexible time to themselves while providing structured programming for their children. Our providers are experienced teachers & moms! Each June Bug session has its own unique theme and includes: circle time stories, songs, and fingerplays, arts & crafts, learning, exploration, and play! Positive peer interactions are encouraged, and member families agree:
JBC is an excellent way to prepare your lil’ bugs for preschool.
Once you become a member of June Bug Club, you can sign up for as many sessions as you would like, space permitting. Signing up is convenient, flexible, and stress-free! Members are also eligible to sign up for Date Nights and Drop & Shops!

When?
June Bug Club sessions are from 9:30-3:00 each day.
A half day option is available from 9:30-1:00.

Meet “Miss June”
Founder, Experienced Teacher, and Mom
Juniper Ernest
Juniper combined her unique experiences and skills as a former Harford County Public Schools elementary school teacher and a mom of three to create the June Bug concept. Juniper has a dual degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University in PA and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Towson University. She taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Fourth Grade at Emmorton Elementary School and had a private tutoring business prior to starting June Bug Club in 2008. Juniper is married to her high school sweetheart, and together they have three (now grown) kids and two Cavapoo pups. When “Miss June” is not at JBC teaching sweet lil’ bugs, she loves spending time with her family, going for walks with the dogs, learning Spanish, listening to live music, finding breweries & coffee shops and practicing yoga at Love Evolution Studio!
